We fund local leaders and organizations who are working alongside their communities, and our grantmaking is guided by equitable, grantee-centric approaches. The grants we make are unrestricted, meaning our grantee partners are free to decide how best to use the funds to support their work. Most CCNU grants are multiyear general operating Shillings, and we have a low-burden approach to reporting.
We identify, invest in, and creatively support visionary local leaders and organizations tackling development challenges and opportunities in Uganda—and help progressive donors do the same.
